Days and Times: Sundays, 10:00-11:30am.

SUP BEACH is a 45-minute led yoga practice on the SUP boards in the shallows of the Gulf + 45 minutes of free paddle time to play on the boards or practice.

Gulf Blvd all the way to 77th Ave. and turn right into lot before Mansion by the Sea Condos. Class is held at the South end beach access of the parking lot, opposite the pavilion.

Jessica Needham, Ashtavakrasana in the Brick Room

Rocket: Tuesday 12:00-1:15pm with Jay Needham

Rocket: Wednesday 2:00-3:15pm with Jessica Needham

Rocket: Friday 5:30-7:00pm with Jessica Needham

Rocket is a moderate-to quickly-paced, Ashtanga-based flow, that's prop-friendly and open to modifications and variations. Arm-balances and inversions are offered. All levels are welcome.

The Rocket Series are derivatives of the Ashtanga Series, which were developed by Pattabhi Jois in the early-to-mid 20th century. Pattabhi Jois was the teacher of Larry Schultz, the personal traveling instructor for Bob Weir of The Grateful Dead. While teaching Weir, Schultz developed The Rocket as a way of encouraging modification, empowering the student to shape the practice to his needs and abilities.

The Rocket is less strict in its interpretation of asana and transitions, but it is still Ashtanga at heart. You will warm up with Surya Namaskar A and B, followed by approximately 66 postures including standing and seated poses, and the traditional closing series. Dristhi, Bandha, and Mantra are incorporated, and traditional Sanskrit count is used for pace.

Our Rocket instructors are Jay and Jessica Needham, who were trained by David Kyle. David learned the routines from Larry Schultz himself.
