Hey BE Fam!

Get up from your machine, put down your phone, and get to moving. You will feel better, we guarantee it™. The BE has been running a schedule of about 40 classes of all kinds every week. Now, a growing collection of free, recorded livestreams are at your fingertips on Facebook, helpfully organized into the following styles:

All your favorite teachers and trainers are working hard to help you, so take advantage! We've got some stuff up on our YouTube, too, and of course we're hosting Zoom classes in real time every day. Forty students registered for Andrea's Noon Flow on Monday! So, no excuses. Get up hella early, stay up late, put your dog in front of a video and your kid in a kennel, because you must take care of yourself!

"This was fun, my dogs enjoyed it and brought toys to my mat!"

- Barbara Hannon

What's the haps with the studio and gym?

We don't know. Internally, we are using the date June 1 to plan for reopening, but that is not set in stone. We do know that we will implement some changes, including:

  • Limited capacity classes, allowing for spacious personal real estate.
  • The continuation of Zoom classes, forever.
  • When you preregister for a class, your space will be held. On the flip side, we'll have to charge penalties for late-cancels and no-shows. Operating at less than half capacity means every space is valuable. We hope those who are uncomfortable or unable to attend in person will make use of the Zoom options.
  • The end of $5 Fridays. Womp womp.
  • Class durations will be temporarily shortened to 60 minutes.
  • Soft props and rental towels are on ice for the time being, which means no blankets, bolsters, or straps. Folks are encouraged to BYO mats and props. We will still rent mats and use non-porous props, like blocks and rollers, which will be disinfected before and after use.
  • All participants in BE Athletic classes will have their own microfiber towel and spray bottles for wipe-as-as-you-go.
  • Zero-tolerance policy for staff and clients exhibiting flu-like symptoms (NSFW).
  • Decisions TBD regarding Hot, Restorative, and Kids classes. Pre/Postnatal classes will be Zoom Only. BE Athletic will wait to reopen Child Care.
  • Good news: Active Recovery classes (née Recovery, née Foam Rolling) at BE Athletic will be open to members of BOTH facilities.

Thanks for your continued participation, patience, and adaptability. We're working hard to deliver high-quality programming to keep you healthy and engaged, while planning for a future full of unknowns.
